Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-11677)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the lws_handshake_server() function in lib/roles/http/server/server.c. A remote attacker can send specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service attack.
2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-11678)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the lws_adns_parse_label() function in lib/system/async-dns/async-dns-parse.c. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger a stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
