- Critical
Description
This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-61725)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to the ParseAddress function in net/mail does not properly control consumption of internal resources. A remote attacker can compose a specially crafted email message that triggers excessive CPU consumption leading to denial of service.
2) Incorrect default permissions (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-25621)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to incorrect default permissions set for critical files, such as /var/lib/containerd (0711 instead of 0700), /run/containerd/io.containerd.grpc.v1.cri (0755 instead of 0700), and /run/containerd/io.containerd.sandbox.controller.v1.shim (0711 instead of 0700) and for the temp directory. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
3) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53066)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the JAXP component in Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.
4) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-11226)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when parsing configuration file. A remote attacker can trick the victim into using a specially crafted configuration file and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability requires presence of Janino library and Spring Framework on the user's class path.
5) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-59375)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources. A remote attacker can trigger large dynamic memory allocations via a small document and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
