Description
This security bulletin contains information about 14 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21981)
The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to read memory contents or crash the application.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Core component in Oracle VM VirtualBox. A local privileged user can exploit this vulnerability to read memory contents or crash the application.
2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21985)
The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition within the LsiLogic module. A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21963)
The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition within the BusLogic module. A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
4) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21986)
The vulnerability allows a local non-authenticated attacker to a crash the entire system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Core component in Oracle VM VirtualBox. A local non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to a crash the entire system.
5) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21982)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Core component in Oracle VM VirtualBox. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
6) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21984)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in VMSVGA device. A local user can exploit the race and gain unauthorized access to sensitive information and escalate privileges on the system.
7) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21983)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the VMSVGA device. A local privileged user can trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
8) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21957)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the VMSVGA device. A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code in the context of the hypervisor.
9) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21989)
The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Core component in Oracle VM VirtualBox. A local privileged user can exploit this vulnerability to compromise the affected system.
10) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21990)
The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Core component in Oracle VM VirtualBox. A local privileged user can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
11) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21988)
The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Core component in Oracle VM VirtualBox. A local privileged user can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
12) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21987)
The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Core component in Oracle VM VirtualBox. A local privileged user can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
13) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21956)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the VMSVGA device. A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code in the context of the hypervisor.
14) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21955)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the VMSVGA devic. A local user can trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code in the context of the hypervisor.
