Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-7462)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error within the pdf_ferror() function in devices/vector/gdevpdf.c. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted file to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-59798)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the pdf_write_cmap() function in devices/vector/gdevpdtw.c. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file to trigger a stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-59799)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the pdfmark_coerce_dest() function in devices/vector/gdevpdfm.c. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file to trigger a stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
