Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Resource management error (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-21605)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper management of internal resources within the application when handling output buffers. A remote attacker can cause the output buffer to grow from "NOAUTH" responses until the system will run out of memory.

2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-27151)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when parsing file names. A remote attacker can trick the victim into passing an overly long file path to the redis-check-aof cli, trigger a stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) Integer underflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-49112)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service attack.

The vulnerability exists due to an integer underflow within the setDeferredReply() function in networking.c. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application, trigger an integer underflow and perform a denial of service attack.
