Description

This security bulletin contains information about 13 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-31672)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to manipulate file parsing behavior.

The vulnerability stems from the way Apache POI handles zip entries in OOXML format files. When duplicate file names (including paths) exist within the zip structure, different products may select different zip entries with the same name, leading to inconsistent data interpretation. A remote attacker can manipulate file parsing behavior through specially crafted OOXML files containing ZIP entries with duplicate file names. This manipulation can result in inconsistent data processing across different systems, potentially leading to security issues and data integrity concerns.

2) Uncontrolled Recursion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-48924)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to the methods ClassUtils.getClass(...) can throw StackOverflowError on very long inputs. Because an Error is usually not handled by applications and libraries, a StackOverflowError could cause an application to stop. A remote attacker can trigger uncontrolled recursion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

3) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53034)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Platform component in Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to read and manipulate data.

4) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53035)

The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Platform component in Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure. A remote authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.

5) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-61756)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the System Configuration component in Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

6) Protection Mechanism Failure (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-41249)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to the annotation detection mechanism may not correctly resolve annotations on methods within type hierarchies with a parameterized super type with unbounded generics. A remote attacker can gain access to sensitive information.

7) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-28168)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input. A remote attacker can pass a specially crafted XML code to the affected application and view contents of arbitrary files on the system or initiate requests to external systems.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to view contents of arbitrary file on the server or perform network scanning of internal and external infrastructure.

8) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-27553)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing double dots, e.g. ".." in file names. A remote attacker can view files outside of the current scope.

9) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-48976)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to Apache Commons FileUpload provided a hard-coded limit of 10kB for the size of the headers associated with a multipart request. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

10) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-61751)

The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to read and manipulate data.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Platform component in Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure. A remote authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability to read and manipulate data.

11) Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-11988)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform SSRF attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input within the XMPParser in Apache XmlGraphics Commons. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and trick the application to initiate requests to arbitrary systems.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker gain access to sensitive data, located in the local network or send malicious requests to other servers from the vulnerable system.

12) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53036)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Platform component in Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.

13) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53037)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Platform component in Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
