Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-27280)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in the "ungetbyte" and "ungetc" methods. A remote attacker can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-27282)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in Regex search. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted string to the application, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of heap memory on the system.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-35176)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when parsing XML that has multiple bracket character occurrences (e.g. "<") in an attribute value. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
4) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-24294)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources when handling DNS packets. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
