Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Off-by-one (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-54349)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to an off-by-one error in iperf_auth.c. A remote attacker can trigger an off-by-one error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Reachable assertion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-54350)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a reachable assertion in iperf_auth.c. A remote attacker can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-54351)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary when --skip-rx-copy is used (for MSG_TRUNC in recv). A remote attacker can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
