This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-50471)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error within the cJSON_InsertItemInArray() function in cJSON.c. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-50472)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error within the cJSON_SetValuestring() function in cJSON.c. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-31755)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input within the cJSON_SetValuestring() function in cJSON.c. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


4) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-46727)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


5) Uncontrolled Recursion (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-4340)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to an uncontrolled recursion when processing a heavily nested list in sqlparse.parse(). A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
