Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Double Free (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-2126)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing user-supplied data within the ParseContentEncodingEntry() function of mkvparser.cpp. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a double free error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


2) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-26825)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow when processing .TGA image files within the in ImageLoaderTGA::load_image() function. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted .TGA file to to the application, trigger integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


3) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-26826)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing .TGA image files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted .TGA image file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
