Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Incorrect default permissions (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23454)

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to the RunJar.run() method does not set permissions for temporary directory by default. A local user with access to the system can view contents of files and directories.


2) Observable discrepancy (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-30171)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a possible timing based leakage in RSA based handshakes. A remote attacker can gain access to sensitive information.


3) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23944)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in persistent watchers. A remote user can bypass implemented security restrictions and obtain user names or login identifiers.
