Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper privilege management (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-53293)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper privilege management. A local user can obtain root privileges on the system.
2) Improper Restriction of Excessive Authentication Attempts (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-47979)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform brute-force attack.
The vulnerability exists due to software does not properly handle unsuccessful authentication attempts. A remote attacker can perform brute-force attack and gain unauthorized access to the system.
3) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-53294)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote authenticated user can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
