Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Authentication Bypass by Primary Weakness (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-42513)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient access control in the OPC UA .NET Standard Stack. A remote attacker can bypass application authentication when using HTTPS endpoints.
2) Information Exposure Through Timing Discrepancy (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-42512)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to the an exploitable timing discrepancy issue in the OPC UA .NET Standard Stack. A remote attacker can bypass application authentication when the deprecated Basic128Rsa15 security policy is enabled.
