1) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-55597)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences within the cgi_xmlprotection_xmlschemafile_post() function in FortiWeb API endpoint. A remote privileged user can write files to an arbitrary location on the system.
