SB2025031201 - Privilege escalation in FortiSandbox

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Incorrect authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-45328)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect authorization in the GUI console. A remote authenticated user can execute elevated CLI commands via the GUI console menu.

2) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-54026)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data within the device del feature. A remote privileged user can send a specially crafted HTTP request and execute arbitrary SQL queries in the application's database, which can lead to privilege escalation.
