Description
This security bulletin contains information about 10 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-22259)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform SSRF attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when parsing URL with the UriComponentsBuilder component. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and trick the application to initiate requests to arbitrary systems.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker gain access to sensitive data, located in the local network or send malicious requests to other servers from the vulnerable system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker gain access to sensitive data, located in the local network or send malicious requests to other servers from the vulnerable system.
Note, this vulnerability exists due to incomplete fix for #VU87614 (CVE-2024-22259) and #VU86695 (CVE-2024-22243).
4) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38809)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when parsing ETags from "If-Match" or "If-None-Match" request headers. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
5) Improper privilege management (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-1272)
The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated attacker to gain elevated privileges on the target system.
The weakness exists due to improper processing of multipart requests. A remote attacker can make a multipart request that injects malicious content to the target server, cause it to use wrong values and gain root privileges.
6) Files or Directories Accessible to External Parties (CVE-ID: CVE-2015-5211)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to Reflected File Download (RFD) attack. A remote unauthenticated attacker can perform a Reflected File Download (RFD) attack by tricking victim into opening a specially crafted URL with a batch script extension and then execute arbitrary code on the target system.
7) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-22096)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to modify existing log records.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and inject arbitrary records into log files.
8) XXE attack (CVE-ID: CVE-2015-3192)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to conduct XXe-attack on the target system.The vulnerability exists in JBoss BPM Suite and BRMS. A remote attacker can cause denial of service conditions by submitting a specially crafted XML file that would cause out-of-memory errors when parsed.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in denial of service conditions on the target system.
9) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2016-1000027)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
10) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-5421)
The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to read and manipulate data.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Core (Spring Framework) component in Oracle Communications Session Report Manager. A remote authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability to read and manipulate data.
