1) Memory leak (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-53178)
The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to memory leak within the find_or_create_cached_dir() and smb2_set_related() functions in fs/smb/client/cached_dir.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
Remediation
