Description
This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-49530)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when handling PDF content. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted PDF file, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
2) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-49535)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
3) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-49531)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error when handling PDF files. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted PDF file and crash the application.
4) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-49532)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted PDF file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
5) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-49533)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted PDF file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
6) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-49534)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted PDF file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
