Description

This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-49085)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow in Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS). A remote attacker can trick a victim to send a request to a malicious server, trigger integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-49125)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS). A remote attacker can trick a victim to connect to a malicious server, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-49086)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS). A remote attacker can trick a victim to connect to a malicious server, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

4) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-49104)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS). A remote attacker can trick a victim to send a request to a malicious server, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

5) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-49089)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow in Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS). A remote administrator can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

6) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-49102)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS). A remote attacker can trick a victim to send a request to a malicious server, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
