Description
This security bulletin contains information about 10 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-52565)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted WRL file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
2) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-52566)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted WRL file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-52567)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted WRL file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.
4) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-52568)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted WRL file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
5) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-52569)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted WRL file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
6) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-52570)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted WRL file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
7) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-52571)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted WRL file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
8) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-52572)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted WRL file, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
9) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-52573)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted WRL file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
10) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-52574)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted WRL file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.
