The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper locking within the pmc_core_ssram_get_pmc() function in drivers/platform/x86/intel/pmc/core_ssram.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
