1) Improper locking (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-47729)

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper locking within the xe_vm_create() function in drivers/gpu/drm/xe/xe_vm.c, within the xe_migrate_init() function in drivers/gpu/drm/xe/xe_migrate.c, within the xe_exec_queue_create_class(), exec_queue_user_extensions() and xe_exec_queue_create_ioctl() functions in drivers/gpu/drm/xe/xe_exec_queue.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
