1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-45022)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to memory corruption within the vm_area_alloc_pages() function in mm/vmalloc.c. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
