Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38045)
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the Windows TCP/IP implementation when handling network packets. A remote attacker can send specially crafted traffic to the system, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system but requires that the NetNAT service is configured (not a default configuration).2) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-21416)
