Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23184)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources when parsing a large number of address headers (e.g. From, To, Cc, Bcc, etc.). A remote attacker can send a specially crafted email address to the server, trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


2) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23185)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources when parsing overly large email headers. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted email to the server, trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
