Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-34703)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources when parsing X.509 certificates. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Improper Certificate Validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-39312)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to the Name Constraint Decoding bug. A remote attacker can cause the target system to accept arbitrary certificates.
3) Asymmetric Resource Consumption (Amplification) (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-34702)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to excessive name constraints. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
