The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper resolution of path equivalence in Windows Security Zone Mapping. A remote attacker can construct an URL path in such a way that the URL’s Zone is interpreted as belonging to a more privileged zone.
