Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper Null Termination (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-43474)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to improper null termination in Microsoft SQL Server. A remote user can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
2) Improper privilege management (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-37980)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges.
The vulnerability exists due to improper privilege management in Microsoft SQL Server. A remote user can escalate privileges.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-37965)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Microsoft SQL Server. A remote user can pass specially crafted input to the application and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
4) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-37341)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in Microsoft SQL Server. A remote user can bypass implemented security restrictions and gain elevated privileges.
