Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38233)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in Windows Networking. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38234)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Windows Networking. A remote attacker on the local network can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38232)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in Windows Networking. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
4) Use of uninitialized resource (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-43458)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass certain security restrictions.
The vulnerability exists due to usage of uninitialized resources in Windows Networking. A remote user can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger uninitialized usage of resources and gain access to sensitive information.
