Description

This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-43466)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data within the SPAutoSerializingObject class in Microsoft SharePoint Server. A remote user can pass specially crafted data to the application and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.


2) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38227)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in Microsoft SharePoint Server. A remote administrator can execute arbitrary commands on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


3) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38018)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized serialized instances of the SPThemes class in Microsoft SharePoint Server. A remote user can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


4) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-43464)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data in Microsoft SharePoint Server. A remote administrator can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
