1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-44948)
The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the mtrr_save_state() function in arch/x86/kernel/cpu/mtrr/mtrr.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
