Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-30082)
The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in Win32k. A local user can gain elevated privileges on the system.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-30087)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Win32k. A local user can pass specially crafted input to the application and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
3) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-30091)
The vulnerability allows a local user can escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Win32k. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
