1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-35848)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to memory corruption within the at24_probe() function in drivers/misc/eeprom/at24.c. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
