The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper locking within the ieee80211_do_stop(), ieee80211_stop() and ieee80211_runtime_change_iftype() functions in net/mac80211/iface.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
