Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-30038)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Win32k. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-30028)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in Win32k. A local user can gain elevated privileges on the target system.
3) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-30030)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in Win32k. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the application and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
