Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-41081)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application when a configuration included "JkOptions +ForwardDirectories" but the configuration did not provide explicit mounts for all possible proxied requests. A remote attacker can view status worker and possibly bypass security constraints configured in httpd.


2) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-6710)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the "alias" parameter in he URL. A remote attacker can permanently inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
