Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-22391)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the LookupTable::SetLUT functionality. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-22373)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input in the JPEG2000Codec::DecodeByStreamsCommon functionality. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted DICOM file, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-25569)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in the RAWCodec::DecodeBytes functionality. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted file, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system or cause a denial of service (DoS) condition.
