Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20861)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of SpEL expressions. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Insecure library loading (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-36770)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a logic error in the Encode.pm script. A local user can place a malicious library into the current working directory and escalate privileges on the system.
3) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-42920)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input within the API. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted request to the affected application, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
