This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-29050)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to numeric truncation error in Windows Cryptographic Services. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.


2) Security features bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-26228)

The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to security features bypass in the Windows Cryptographic Services. A local user can bypass RSA signature verification on the target system.
