Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-6267)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data when REST resources are used with annotations. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Improper Authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-5675)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to the application.

The vulnerability exists due to improper enforcement of authorization when enabled by either "quarkus.security.jaxrs.deny-unannotated-endpoints" or "quarkus.security.jaxrs.default-roles-allowed" properties for RestEasy Classic or Reactive JAX-RS endpoints using the annotation processor. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to the application.

3) Open redirect (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26159)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to redirect victims to arbitrary URL.

The vulnerability exists due to improper sanitization of user-supplied data within the url.parse() function. A remote attacker can create a link that leads to a trusted website, however, when clicked, redirects the victim to arbitrary domain.
