Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-49734)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges within the application.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions on created dashboard. A remote Gamma user can gain write permissions to charts that belong to other users.


2) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-49736)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in where_in JINJA macro. A remote user can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.


3) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-46104)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources when processing ZIP files during database import. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
