Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-44271)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources in ImageFont. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Code Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-50447)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the PIL.ImageMath.eval function. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted input to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
