Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23901)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected plugin unconditionally discovers projects that are shared with the configured owner group. A remote attacker can configure and share a project, resulting in a crafted Pipeline being built by Jenkins during the next scan of the group.


2) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23903)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected plugin uses a non-constant time comparison function when checking whether the provided and expected webhook token are equal. A remote attacker can use statistical methods to obtain a valid webhook token.


3) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23902)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
