Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Inconsistent interpretation of HTTP requests (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-45648)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform HTTP request smuggling attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to improper validation when parsing HTTP trailer headers. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the server and smuggle arbitrary HTTP headers.

Successful exploitation of vulnerability may allow an attacker to poison HTTP cache and perform phishing attacks.


2) Incorrect default permissions (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-2976)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect default permissions in com.google.common.io.FileBackedOutputStream. A local user with access to the system can view contents of files and directories or modify them.


3) Improper certificate validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-38325)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform MitM attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper certificate validation when handling SSH certificates that have critical options. A remote attacker can perform MitM attack.


4) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-37536)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger integer overflow and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
