Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-28527)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in IBM Informix cdr. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
2) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-28526)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in IBM Informix archecker. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
3) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-28523)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in IBM Informix onsmsync. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
