Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-49060)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions through <a [referrerpolicy]> in ReaderMode. A local user can access internal pages or data  by ex-filtrating a security key from ReaderMode via the referrerpolicy attribute.


2) Code Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-49061)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote attacker can perform HTML template injection in %READER-BYLINE% of ReaderMode and exfiltrated user information
