Description
This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-47055)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when handling files. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
2) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-47056)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-47057)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
4) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-47058)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds read and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
5) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-47059)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds read and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
6) Access of Uninitialized Pointer (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-47060)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger a memory corruption and read contents of memory on the system.
