Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-36712)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions in Windows Kernel. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and gain elevated privileges.
2) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-36576)
The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application in Windows Kernel. A local user can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
3) Security features bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-36698)
The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to security features bypass in Windows Kernel. A local user can bypass the Windows Arbitrary Code Guard exploit protection feature.
4) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-36725)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions in Windows Kernel, which leads to security restrictions bypass and privilege escalation.
