Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-29331)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in .NET, .NET Framework, and Visual Studio. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-29337)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in NuGet Client. A remote user can exploit the race and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-33128)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in .NET and Visual Studio. A remote user can pass specially crafted input to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
4) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-33170)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in the ASP.NET and Visual Studio. A remote attacker can exploit the race and gain unauthorized access to sensitive information and escalate privileges on the system.
