The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to IBM Sterling Connect:Direct for UNIX uses weaker than expected cryptographic algorithms. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
